- Texakana is textured like a lizard giving this cowhide an authentic lizard appearance.
- Texakana hides start with a European raw material and are tanned using part Vegg.
- Tannage and part Chrome gives the leather a firm consistency. Texakana hides are dyed for color and then receive a light spray of color as a base effect. The lizard texture is achieved through embossing with heat and pressure. Next a light two-tone is hand rubbed into the surface of the leather giving the leather a nice depth and character. Finally an antique is applied to accentuate the texture. A dull and shinny effect is applied to accentuate the texture.
- Expect color variation due to the fact Texakana is hand wiped and no two hides will be exactly the same.
- Prolonged exposure to sunlight will fade Texakana.
- Average hide size- 40 sq ft.
